On Saturday, April 10th, members of Sullivan County A.R.E.S. deployed to conduct a county-wide emergency communications drill. Simplex communications on both VHF and NVIS on HF were utilized, establishing cross-county communications without repeaters or other infrastructure. A radiogram message was prepared and distributed to all drill participants.
The exercise was a success with 18 combined check-in’s, including connecting to the Orange County 911 Center EOC. Good Stuff!
